Long-Term Substitute Biology Teacher

Bensalem Township School District is seeking qualified applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Biology Teacher position at Bensalem High School.

This long-term substitute assignment will begin at the start of the 2026–2027 school year and continue through the beginning of November 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports students' academic achievement and personal growth.

Applicants must possess a valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Biology (active certification required).

Preferred qualifications include:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Biology curriculum, instructional practices, and Pennsylvania Academic Standards.
• Strong classroom management and student behavior management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Effective instructional planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing instructional materials, educational technology, and classroom equipment to enhance student learning.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and the ability to implement developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.
• Strong instructional and assessment practices
