Teacher Of The Visually Impaired
Contract up to $60/hr located in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. This role delivers specialized instruction to visually impaired students in a school setting for a 36-week contract, ensuring inclusive education and supporting student progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students in the school setting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess students' needs related to visual impairment and modify teaching strategies accordingly
- Assist students with adaptive tools and technology to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings
- Current PA Special Education Teaching certificate
- Minimum of 1 year experience in teaching visually impaired students
- Full-time preferred (37.5 hours/week) with days shift schedule
- Ability to work in a school setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with students and staff in a school environment
