Anticipated K-3 Intensive Learning Support Teacher

Central York School District (CYSD) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Intensive Learning Support Teacher (Grades K–3) to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in special education and a commitment to supporting young, diverse learners through individualized instruction, early intervention strategies, and structured supports that promote academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional growth.

This educator will foster independence, confidence, and foundational skill development within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Provide direct instruction and supervision of students. Is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing district‑wide instructional initiatives.

• Provide for the planning and delivery of instruction to assigned students in accordance with the Board adopted planned courses.
• Maintain current certification and up‑to‑date knowledge of subject matter, instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and technology and materials.
• Help to maintain a healthy and positive school environment by observation, analysis, and remediation of potential problem areas.
• Provide for overall supervision and behavior management in areas of assignment.
• Participate in the process of curriculum development, selection of materials, staff development, public information and communication with parents as appropriate to the role of a professional employee.
• Support the total program of curriculum and co‑curricular activities in areas of established skill, expertise, and background.
• Maintain professional decorum in all interactions with parents, students, and the public.
• Provide for referral services to students to access counseling, health and other related services available through the school.
• Provide reports on student progress as required by the Administration.
• Support the mission of the school in all public contacts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Building Principal.

• Appropriate PA Certification for all areas of assignment required.
• Pedagogical skills necessary to develop the instructional program.
• Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.
