Central Penn College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assisting Instructor to join our School of Health Sciences. This position is vital to the success of our program, providing comprehensive online and on-ground instruction to prepare students for rewarding careers.

*** This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Please note we are looking for someone to be on-ground at our Summerdale college campus location for evening labs in addition to possibly teaching asynchronous online courses.***

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and learning activities for online and on-ground students.
• Prepare students to pass the CMA exam by the American Association of Medical Assistants
• Assess student learning through various methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Complete course Level of Outcomes Assessment.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the School of Health Sciences to ensure program quality and student success.

Qualifications:

• Current CMA(AAMA) and either NHA or ASCP phlebotomy certification is required.
• Associates degree (minimum) in related field.
• In-depth knowledge of medical assisting clinical and administrative tasks and familiarity with Practice Management Software.
• Experience in the skills performed by a medical assistant
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively teach in an online and on-ground (day and evening) formats.
• Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
