Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Behavior Support

Boyertown, PA Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Full-year position

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with strong behavioral support experience to provide one-on-one assistance to a student within a school setting. This role is focused on supporting both academic engagement and behavioral development while ensuring the student can successfully access curriculum and school resources.

• Provide one-on-one support to a student with behavioral needs
• Assist the student in achieving academic and behavioral goals
• Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed
• Support the student with modifications and accommodations to access curriculum
• Provide physical assistance when needed to ensure safe mobility and participation
• Adapt instructional materials as necessary to meet student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the student

Reports to the Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal

• Experience working with children with behavioral needs preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and behavior management skills
• Ability to follow directives and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

• PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance, and FBI Clearance (all within one year)
• Proof of qualifications
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification (Act 24)
• Letter of Assurance confirming completion of Act 168 Employment History Review
• Proof of Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
• Tuberculosis test (completed within the last 3 months)
• 10-panel drug screening
