This is a job posting for a short-term substitute para educator in a high school autistic support classroom, which falls under the support staff contract. This role is will be from approximately August 24, 2026 - November 13, 2026.

Job Overview:
The special education para educator assigned to an autistic support classroom provide instructional and behavioural support to students, in addition to, assisting with daily personal skills.

The para educator will work at the direction of the teacher, and is under the general supervision of the building Principal and Director of Special Education.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated or prior experience working with children, and excellent organization and communication skills

Additional Information:

• Minimum starting rate of $16.97 - $19.51 per hour - credit may be given for relevant experience
• No district paid health benefits, coverage available for purchase at 100% employee cost

Required Background Checks:

• PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check, and FBI Background Check will be required.
