The High School Theology Teacher will provide classroom instruction in Catholic theology, guiding students in understanding Scripture, Church teachings, morality, and sacramental life. This full-time, on-site role in Drexel Hill, PA involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback that supports both academic and spiritual development. The teacher will create a respectful, inclusive classroom environment, lead discussions that encourage critical thinking about faith and ethics, and integrate Catholic identity into the learning experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, participating in faculty meetings, contributing to campus ministry or liturgical activities as appropriate, and maintaining communication with families and school leadership regarding student learning and behavior.

• Strong teaching and education skills, with demonstrated ability to instruct and support high school learners.
• Competence in lesson planning and curriculum development, including designing assessments and classroom activities aligned with learning goals.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal instruction, effective written communication, and active listening.
• Solid grounding in Catholic theology and religious education; formal study in theology, religious studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Theology, Education, or a related discipline is beneficial. Theology credits from a Catholic college or university
• Prior experience teaching in a high school or faith-based educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, respectful classroom that supports diverse learners and upholds the school’s Catholic mission.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working with faculty, staff, and families.
