Adjunct Lecturers Of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the opening of Adjunct Lecturers of Psychology for the semester starting Fall, 2026. The opening requires teaching practicum courses in clinical psychology. Candidates should be available for both on-line and classroom teaching assignments. Psychology is the study of behavior, both normal and abnormal, how it is studied and its relation to applied areas of study.
Part-time Lecturers are expected to teach one to two courses per semester based on the department need and agreed upon courses.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience and fit to the department's teaching needs are critical.
- In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.
- Ph.D. preferred and at least ABD status required.
The initial contract period is one semester, with a good chance of continuing renewal depending on funding. Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the vacancies are filled.
Candidates are encouraged to submit a letter of application, including concise statements of teaching experience and interests, and a CV for full consideration.
Chosen candidates are expected to adhere to the conditions of Policy HR103 and candidates who are current University employees must seek approval from their primary work unit prior to accepting additional appointments within Penn State.
