Percussion Instructor Position
Kennett High School is seeking a high-energy, enthusiastic, percussion instructor to assist the Marching Band Director. Successful candidates should believe in the importance of the impact of extra-curricular activities in a child's K-12 experience.
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate advanced mallet percussion techniques
- Ability to demonstrate proper auxiliary percussion techniques
- Ability to read a music score
- Must be available on nights and weekends
- Must be available for band camp
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Ability to give clear direction
- Ability to take direction and redirection
- Must be interested in supporting and working with all students
Recommended:
- Audio Engineering (base knowledge of how to use a sound board)
- Proper Microphone setup and usage
- Willingness to drive a KCSD fleet vehicle when traveling to competitions (must have valid driver's license)
