Early Head Start Child Development Assistant- Engle Education Center

A anticipated vacancy for a full-time Early Head Start Child Development Assistant position exists within the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This is a 260 day position, working with infants and toddlers, and will be located in West Grove, PA.

• CDA or Associates Degree, or willingness to attain CDA within one year required
• Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
• Current (within one year) State Criminal, Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint, NSOR Clearance clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
• Two professional written letters of reference

• To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
• Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children

PRJ, HS2, $17.91 - $23.49/hr.
