Sign Language Interpreter; ASL Oxford

Make an impact supporting a 5th-grade student in a Life Skills classroom as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a dynamic educational setting, helping facilitate meaningful communication and support for a student who relies on your language expertise.

Work a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, from 7:20 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., beginning August 19, 2026, through June 2, 2027. Youll become an essential part of the daily classroom experience, ensuring that learning remains accessible and inclusive.

This contract role is ideal for interpreters passionate about making a difference in students educational journeys.

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required for placement)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language for educational settings
• Experience interpreting for students in school environments, particularly in 1:1 roles
• Ability to follow and reinforce individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodate various learning needs
• Strong advocacy and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear, respectful communication between student, staff, and peers
• Dependable and organized, with a commitment to consistency throughout the school year
