Assistant Director, Retention

Villanova University is hiring an Assistant Director, Retention. This role focuses on providing ongoing monitoring, counseling, and holistic support to CASA students, aiming to recruit, retain, and graduate emergent scholars, first-generation, and Pell-eligible students. The position requires coordinating support services, developing student programs, and collaborating with campus partners to enhance student success.

• Provide monitoring and counseling support for CASA students and other assigned students
• Coordinate retention services with campus partners such as advising centers, Learning Support Services, and Writing Center
• Develop and deliver workshops, panels, presentations, and special programs for student development
• Support occasional evening or weekend programs
• Required skills include Microsoft Office Suite, student database systems (e.g., Banner, Nolij), social media, and marketing
• Minimum qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years related experience or Master’s degree in Higher Education, School Counseling, or related field
• Preferred qualifications:
  
  second language skills and fundraising/grant writing experience
• Strong commitment to supporting diverse, first-generation, and underrepresented student populations
• Salary range: $57,200 to $71,500, exempt position, grade 14
