Classroom Assistant III or II

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with children with special needs ages 3-8 years old at our Murrysville/Export, PA location. The position is full-time, 7 hours a day at a range of $20-$23 per hour. This comes with a full benefit package valued e join our team and experience the growth of amazing children!

POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or II

QUALIFICATIONS:

Classroom Assistant III Bachelor's (Required)
PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
Special Education

Experience:

1 Year (Preferred)
Prior experience working with children with disabilities (ages birth to
8) preferred.

Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.

Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.

Acceptable Department of Education FBI Clearance required.

Passing of physical examination and TB required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Position-Classroom Assistant II Associates or Bachelors required (preferably with major in Child Care, Elementary Education, Special Education or Human Services field).Evidence of 20 hours of annual staff development training related to position assignment required.

Prior experience working with children with disabilities (ages birth to
8) preferred.

Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.

Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.

Acceptable Department of Education FBI Clearance required.

Passing of physical examination and TB required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Classroom Assistant Planning and implementing activities to enhance students' skills.

Assisting in implementing the students' IEP.Providing a safe and accepting classroom.

Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.

Assisting in the instructional program, integration program, and behavior management of studentsBENEFITSWork hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 7-hours days. Working 35 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The hourly rate range is from $20-$23. We also offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
