This part-time faculty position is intended to be 20 hours a week with an on-campus presence needed to support the responsibilities associated with the role.

The Lawson Fellow will collaborate with key campus partners to shape and execute the future of Villanova’s Business of Fashion Society (BoFS), while building a university-wide network to engage students interested in business-focused fashion careers. Serving as advisor to the BoFS, the Lawson Fellow will set annual goals in collaboration with the student leaders and VSB’s O’Donnell Center for Professional Development.
The Lawson Fellow will oversee business of fashion and beauty industry-related career education opportunities and guide signature initiatives such as the annual Business of Fashion Symposium and client-based Immersion Projects. The role includes partnering with career education leaders to strengthen VSB’s student business society culture, expanding industry-focused programming and resources, and engaging alumni and employers to create experiential learning, professional development, and career opportunities.
Additionally, the Lawson Fellow will provide individual and group career coaching for students and may teach a special topics course focused on fashion and beauty industry trends and dynamics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with VSB O’Donnell Center for Professional Development Assistant Dean and team, VU Career Center, and College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Ellis Center for Professional Development to vision the future of the business of fashion/beauty initiatives and develop execution plan.
- Develop university-wide network for engaging all Villanova students interested in the fashion/beauty industry initiatives.
- Serve as Advisor for the Business of Fashion Society (BoFS) and related activities; regularly conduct update meetings and communicate with the executive board to establish annual goals, plan for academic year activities, monitor on-going activities, etc.
- Guide BoFS in planning the annual Business of Fashion Symposium, including helping secure speakers and developing agenda.
- Assist with developing and expanding BoFS client-based Immersion Project initiative; help to source clients and provide guidance to Project Teams.
