Job Description

The Bald Eagle Area School District, located within a short drive of the campuses of Penn State University and Lock Haven University, offers a robust educational program for students in a community-focused setting. The district combines easy access to the opportunities and amenities of nearby college campuses, with the tight-knit family feel of our rural community school district. We are in search of a motivated applicant to join the BEA family for the following position:

• Enforce the compulsory attendance law and District attendance policy. Serve as district Attendance Officer and/or Home & School Visitor for grades K - 12. When students engage in irregular patterns of attendance, the home and school visitor's duty is to ascertain the causes and to give counsel to the student and the parents.
• Organize, direct, and promote an interscholastic and intramural athletic program that is an integral part of the school district's total educational program.
• Coordinate the extracurricular student activities of the school district.

• PDE Certification required to serve as District Attendance Officer or Home and School Visitor Certification
• 5 or more years of experience preferred in District attendance.
• Experience with staffing and coordinating athletic events.
• Experience with coaching and/or advising extra-curricular athletics or activities

Salary is competitive and based on experience according to the salary scale in the Collective Bargaining Unit. In addition to the base salary, an additional stipend of $18,500 will be provided for duties performed outside of the regular contractual workday and regular contractual work year.
