JOB LOCATION: F
or the 2026-27 school year, the primary work location will be Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School in Coal Township, PA and will require travel to various nonpublic schools within
Northumberland, Union, Montour, Snyder, and Columbia Counties .

JOB ASSIGNMENT: Nonpublic School Services

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to the Director of Non-Public Education and Title Programs and, in their absence, to the Assistant Executive Director/Chief Academic Officer.

JOB DEFINITION
:
This position provides remedial instruction to those students who are experiencing educational difficulties in participating nonpublic schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer benchmark and diagnostic tests and/or use curriculum-based assessment with students to determine program eligibility and/or withdrawal from the program.
• Maintain records on each participating student.
• Coordinate instructional activities with the school administrator, classroom teacher, related staff and/or parents.
• Plan and implement academic intervention support to students in reading and math.
• Regularly update the nonpublic database to include services provided to each student and to monitor student outcomes.
• Provide pre- and post-testing of students to determine the appropriate type and level of services needed.
• Serve as CSIU liaison with nonpublic schools to which assigned.
• Provide periodic written reports to parents.
• Share materials with schools and other Act 89 staff.
• Coordinate services with the Equitable Participation coordinator and district Title I staff.
• Submit all required student data and paperwork in a timely fashion (i.e., monthly reports, travel vouchers, requisitions, schedules).
• Monitor the condition of the trailers/mobile units used as work spaces and report any maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• A bachelor’s degree in education and a valid Pennsylvania Reading Specialist K-12 certification are required.
• Prior experience as a classroom teacher is preferred.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook email, internet browsers, and artificial intelligence (AI).
• Proficiency in utilizing vetted artificial intelligence (AI) is preferred. The ability to enhance AI skills will be required. The exploration and utilization of new AI tools or technologies is subject to review and approval.
• The ability to work collaboratively and professionally with other staff, nonpublic school personnel, and students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues, co-workers, community agency personnel, and students/trainees.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Requires the ability to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with tact and diplomacy, and to remain calm in unpredictable situations.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding education programs, students and parents at all times, adhering to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements to protect staff and student data.
