Job Overview
The Director, Planning is responsible for directing the planning of clinical healthcare spaces across multiple campuses in the Jefferson Enterprise. The Director will work with leadership to evaluate, conceptually plan, and coordinate projects to meet strategic goals at building, campus, and regional levels.
Responsibilities- Develop space planning scenarios for relocations, expansions, renovations, and new buildings, including sequencing of related work and moves.
- Prepare budgets, schedules, and graphical representations of migration plans in support of scenarios.
- Create program requirements, space plans, furniture, and equipment plans to launch projects.
- Directly develop space plans that meet user needs and requirements.
- Engage outside consultants when project scale or complexity requires.
- Develop programming and test fits for project basis.
- Manage assigned projects, including external consultants and contractors.
- Collaborate with Real Estate, Program Management Office, and Facilities.
- Mentor junior team members for professional development and internal promotion.
- Knowledge of Building Codes, FGI Guidelines, and healthcare space planning.
- Strong communication skills with corporate, healthcare, and academic partners.
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Ability to develop conceptual project budgets and schedules in coordination with PDC directors and project managers.
- Clear communication to leaders and colleagues within Enterprise Asset Management.
- Willingness to travel to multiple campuses to evaluate projects and meet stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare and/or higher education with medical planning experience.
- Professional registration or licensure (RA, PE) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and e-Builder.
- Leadership capabilities.
Workday Day (United States of America).
Shift: Regular Employee. Normal
Work Hours:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
