DC Electronics Technician
As a DC Electronics Technician, you will build, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support mission-critical transformer and power distribution systems used within hyperscale data center environments. You will be responsible for ensuring these products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements before deployment into data center facilities.
Responsibilities- Assemble complex transformer, power distribution, and electrical infrastructure systems according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Perform wiring, cable routing, termination, crimping, and electrical connections within transformer assemblies and associated power equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.
- Conduct mechanical assembly and integration of components including bus bars, transformers, switch gear-related assemblies, harnesses, and power distribution hardware.
- Perform electrical continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, mechanical inspections, and functional testing to verify product performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, identify root causes, and perform repair or rework activities as required.
- Support Data Center Systems Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers by providing feedback on assembly processes, testing procedures, tooling improvements, and manufacturability enhancements.
- Assist with commissioning readiness and prepare equipment for deployment into hyperscale data center environments.
- Collaborate within a high-volume production environment to maintain workflow, meet production schedules, and minimize bottlenecks.
- Ensure all assemblies meet customer, safety, and quality requirements for mission-critical infrastructure applications.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and repeatability.
- Train and mentor team members on assembly procedures, workmanship standards, and testing methodologies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Adhere to all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards.
- Experience supporting data center, critical power, electrical distribution, transformer manufacturing, switch gear, UPS, generator, or industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of IPC-620 standards and electrical cable/harness assembly.
- Experience performing electrical testing, commissioning support, or acceptance testing of power infrastructure equipment.
- Familiarity with hyperscale data center environments and mission-critical facility operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Electrical trade school, military electrical experience, or equivalent technical training is a plus.
The role is based in a manufacturing facility. Approved travel includes mileage or flights to and from Mt Pleasant. There is an expectation to commit to a minimum of 6 months. The work schedule starts at 7am, and flexibility is provided to work past 3:30pm. The typical schedule alternates between a full five-day workweek and a four-day workweek with travel home on weekends.
Overtime of up to 20 hours per week is expected. Meals and lodging are covered, and per diem is provided.
This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Pleasant, PA.
