Excelsior Blower Systems, an Ingersoll Rand Company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer / CAD Designer who is looking for a role where no two designs are the same. Bring your expertise, and preferable electromechanical, PLC skills and work on rotating equipment skid design. • Design structural steel skids using Solid Works 3D software
• Create engineering submittal documents per project specifications
• Communicate with customers regarding product design and specifications
• Generate bills of material, cut lists and fabrication drawings
• Create and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
• Inspect completed assembled equipment skids
• Support the sales department with technical information
• Interact with shop fabrication & assembly personnel

• 3+ years equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience with 3D CAD software
• 2+ years working with and understanding of structural steel metal fabrication and pipe weldments

• Ability to communicate with customers’ engineering departments
• Ability to multi-task and work with multiple projects
• Strong problem solving and project management skills
• Strong English communication skills, oral and written
• Ability to work in a small office environment and collaborate with peers

• Bachelor’s degree concentration in:
  Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro‑mechanical Engineering Technology.
• A Computer Aided Drafting degree or certificate will be considered.
• Proficiency in Solid Works
• Experience in sheet metal forming
• Knowledge of electrical controls and wiring
• Experience with FEA tools and design validation methods
