POSITION PROFILE Lead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of continuous improvement projects in our wood department. Develop sustainable improvements through engagement of the team utilizing servant leadership, technical knowledge, and continuous improvement tools to improve quality, productivity, and safety.

Utilize lean concepts including standardized work, problem solving methodologies, material handling and planning, and kaizen activities. Implement engineering change notices and work closely with quality and product development to implement customer requests and new product lines. Develop lean manufacturing strategies and deploy into the work cells including but not limited to Standardized Work, Kaizen, Problem-Solving, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow, Heijunka, Jidoka, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.

Develop, specify, and procure production equipment and tooling for custom and high-volume wood furniture manufacturing. Program and optimize CNC machines for wood component manufacturing Incorporate automation technologies to streamline production and enhance consistency. Document design changes and ensure all parts and drawings are handled and delivered according to the Bill of Materials and drawings Initiate and implement process related improvements on production line Support program financial targets and cost reduction initiatives by providing Manufacturing Engineering support during product launch and post-launch phases Responsible for leading the implementation of process improvements and changes that ensure safety, improve product quality and reduce costs Provide technical and advisory support for Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and develop processes to maximize production throughput Work with product development, quality, and manufacturing to implement engineering change notices

Required Skills:

Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineer Degree or equivalent Knowledge of wood furniture manufacturing and CNC machines Advance skill in MS Office including MS Excel, Words, Outlook, Projects and PowerPoint Experience utilizing CAM software, CIM-TECH and WoodWOP Experience utilizing CAD software, AutoCAD, CREO and Windchill
