System Test Engineer

Opportunity Overview:
Westinghouse has a great opportunity for a contract/contract to hire System Test Engineer at our Warrendale facility. Reporting to the Manager, System Testing, In this role, you will focus on conducting integrated testing activities for Safety Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems used in commercial nuclear power plants. You will perform system-level and functional testing on delivered plant equipment to verify and validate that the I&C systems meet all technical and regulatory requirements.

Your Day-to-Day:

* Perform integrated testing activities on Safety Instrumentation and Control Systems for Commercial Nuclear Plant equipment.

* Work with a team of engineers to develop test procedures, perform testing, and write test reports to verify and validate I&C systems, ensuring test coverage related to the I&C system requirements.

* Help develop and improve test methods, systems and tools related to testing, system verification and validation, and quality assurance.

* Development of safety test documentation based on functional requirements, design requirements, and regulatory requirements.

* Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure integration of the I&C system.

* Identify hardware, design, and software issues and complete troubleshooting on an integrated I&C system.

* Develop test plan, procedure, and data sheet documentation.

* Implement testing to meet project schedules and requirement fulfillment.

* Work towards obtaining QA 2.9 certification to support I&C projects, support board-level design, functional testing, and integration testing.

* Develop of a requirements traceability matrix confirming all requirements have been tested.

* Implement testing based on system functional and design requirements specifications.

Who You Are:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

* Focus or minor in Computer Science or similar field.

* Knowledge of Labview, C++, Java, Python and embedded software is a plus.

* Experience with Digital Circuit Design.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $50/hour to $70/hour.
