+ Prepare and update engineering drawings, reports, and supporting documentation to clearly communicate design intent and project requirements.

+ Apply engineering principles and judgment to solve technical problems and contribute to efficient, constructible, and cost-effective design solutions.

+ Engage in training and mentorship activities, including working with staff to progress toward EIT and PE licensure as applicable.

+ Support construction-related activities as needed, such as responding to field questions, reviewing shop drawings, or coordinating with inspection and construction management teams.

Essential Skills

+ 2-15+ years of professional experience in civil engineering.

+ Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design and drafting.

+ Experience or strong interest in land development, municipal engineering, water resources, or transportation engineering.

+ Foundational knowledge of civil engineering principles related to stormwater, drainage, grading, and site development.

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team on technical assignments.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate engineering plans and documents.

+ Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

+ Experience as a civil engineer or civil designer on projects involving land development, municipal infrastructure, water resources, or transportation.

+ Familiarity with stormwater management design, drainage systems, grading, and site development practices.

+ Exposure to municipal engineering work, including coordination with local municipalities and understanding of local regulations.

+ Experience or familiarity with related tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design software.

+ Interest in construction inspection, land surveying, or construction management services is beneficial.

+ Motivation to pursue professional growth, including obtaining EIT and ultimately PE licensure with the support of mentoring and training.
