* A baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution
* Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in commercial/institutional building projects.
* 5+ years’ experience designing HVAC / Plumbing systems for buildings
* Strong AutoCAD and Revit capabilities
* Experience with AutoCAD Fabrication a plus
* EIT or PE license desired
* Strong fundamental understanding of national building codes
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
* Strong Analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking
* Strong initiative—the willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment
* Ability to multi-task with multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

* Design plumbing systems including sanitary, venting, water distribution, and gas piping systems
* Perform system design calculations, pipe sizing, and layout routing within building
* Select equipment for use in building systems.
* Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems.
* Verify that systems designed are compliant with applicable codes
* Communicate and coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines, vendors, building officials, other consultants, etc. throughout the design phases of the building project.
* Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.
* Manage a small project, work area or technical skills set, monitor quality of work, and is involved in client liaison.
* Participating in BIM coordination meetings
