As a Transient Analysis Engineer II, you will perform design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, including Non-LOCA analysis, Containment Integrity analysis, and Loss of Coolant Accidents/Improve Break Mass and Energy release analysis.
You will report to the Manager, Transient Analysis and be located at Cranberry, PA and can work in a hybrid capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and assess models and correlations for prediction two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
- Perform nuclear reactor safety analysis and develop analysis methodologies for design basis accidents
- Perform reload safety evaluations for each plant cycle
- Be cognizant of plant specific licensing basis, analyses of record
- Be a contact for plant-specific non-LOCA or containment analysis specific inquiries from both internal and external customers
- Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience or equivalent.
- Experience in performing accident/safety analysis in a comparable nuclear engineering field.
- Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution and engineering recommendations.
Salary range: $69,200 to $86,500 per year (dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills).
Location:
Cranberry, PA (Hybrid).
