The Drafter is responsible for product and system drawings, assists with new product design, and helps develop engineered solutions for customer needs. They represent the company in a positive, friendly manner to ensure high customer retention.

• Implement, sponsor, and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
• Develop product and system drawings in Solid Works.
• Translate customer needs into engineered solutions.
• Support sales, marketing, and engineering teams with product and system drawings.
• Support sales in tracking and quoting new business/customer projects.
• Create tools to ensure we supply the best solutions to customer needs.
• Medium to high travel (30-60%) is expected, including visits to customers, vendors, other Hydro locations, laboratory sites, technical seminars, conferences, and occasional international travel.

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Degree in Drafting, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient with Solid Works & AutoCAD.
• Familiar with engineering projects and construction drawings.
• Mechanical design experience, familiarity with aluminum design a plus.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
