Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate or Experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2 or
3) to join our team in Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania.

Position Responsibilities:

* Provides production support during all phases of manufacturing

* Creates of bill of material and production build plans while leading and implementing manufacturing plans

* Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies

* Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

* Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build

* Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements

* Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices

* Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

* Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule

* Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts

* Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems

* Implements lean principles and technologies This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

* 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Must be able to work 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience is electrical/electronics manufacturing

* Experience in 3D Modeling applications such as Catia, Siemens NX, Creo

* Experience using manufacturing execution systems such as TipQA Shopfloor Execution or Costpoint

* Experience in creation of manufacturing planning and lean manufacturing Conflict of Interest:
