Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering client specializing in power and energy infrastructure. Seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to lead and manage transmission line projects. This role involves overseeing project execution from design through completion.
The Transmission Line Project Engineer will run transmission line projects, performing design and analysis of structures and foundations. This role requires proficiency in the PLS suite of software. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing specification packages, structural drawings, and fabrication designs while ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key Functions
- Lead and manage transmission line projects from initiation to completion.
- Prepare and review structural and fabrication drawings.
- Conduct design and analysis of transmission lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
- Design and analyze foundations for transmission line structures.
- Develop and review project specifications and documentation packages.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line design and project management.
- Proficiency in the PLS Suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE); experience with PLS-TOWER is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Micro Station.
- PE license preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
