The Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing and fabrication methods by developing, evaluating, and improving production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will also utilize knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication strategies, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities- Review and develop welding procedures according to applicable codes and standards.
- Support future automation needs including cost analysis, programming, and integration.
- Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks related to fabrication processes under close supervision.
- Manage projects or parts of a project to ensure quality of work while meeting deadlines.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds.
- Review and recommend fixture and tooling designs.
- Analyze space requirements, workflow, and design layout for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and continuous improvement requests.
- Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals.
- Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plants, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
- Review legislative and regulatory proposals or actions to determine impact on projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or related field.
- One (1) – two (2) or more years of experience.
- Knowledge of heavy fabrication manufacturing and/or welding automation.
- Proficiency in navigating and interpreting welding codes.
- Thorough understanding of GMAW welding equipment and related welding processes.
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry.
- Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
The following represents general working conditions for this role. This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.

$73,200.00 - $ The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
