Summary
Accountable for maintaining and developing automated in-circuit test (ICT), functional test (FCT) and device programming equipment for electronic circuit assemblies. Develops new test strategies and improves existing fixtures, troubleshoots electronic circuit assemblies to the component level to determine root cause.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain existing electrical test fixtures and provide technical assistance to operators when needed.
- Modify and repair test fixtures as required.
- Investigate improved methods for in-circuit test, functional test and device programming using dedicated fixtures.
- Assure that product meets applicable specifications.
- Troubleshoot circuit assemblies to the component level to determine root cause.
- Develop Design for Test (DfT) strategies to ensure test capability.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Other duties as required.
- Broad knowledge of electronic circuit theory, in-circuit test, functional test and device programming.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Computer skills (Windows-based) and familiarity with programming languages related to test.
- Good mechanical ability and CAD proficiency to design new test fixtures or beds.
- Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design.
- General understanding of electronic assembly processes and the ability to solder is a plus.
- Four year technical degree in electronics or equivalent career experience.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skill.
