Job Title: Chemical Process Engineer

Location: Mainland, PA 19451

What You’ll Do:
  • Support Accupac’s Compounding operations by assessing equipment systems, processes, capacity, and improvement opportunities.
  • Help drive safety, quality, product transfers, and batch‑making efficiency within the Compounding department, partnering closely with internal teams and customer technical resources to transition new projects into production.
  • Lead root cause analysis for out‑of‑specification batches and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Use metrics and data to identify, prioritize, and drive process improvement projects, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce deviations, improve processes, and support facility improvement initiatives.
  • Develop batch cards and compounding instructions that align with customer specifications and FDA Current Good Compounding Practices guidelines.
  • Support experimental batches, stability, and validation activities; review and approve customer documentation related to product manufacturing, and consult with Sales and internal teams to assess new compounding projects, equipment needs, and technology requirements.
  • Train Compounding personnel on new product introductions, process updates, and changes, while communicating process, quality, or operational concerns that may impact Accupac to leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related manufacturing, compounding, chemical, cosmetic, personal care, OTC, or regulated industry environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA Current Good Compounding Practices, along with strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience using metrics to drive decision‑making, process improvement, and operational efficiency;
    Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and lead plant personnel through process changes at the ground level; highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working cross‑functionally with teams across Compounding, Sales, Operations, and customer technical groups.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer systems.
  • Will walk or stand on concrete floors, bend repeatedly, climb step stools, lift up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 75 lbs as needed.
