Sr Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new valve products to ensure that the products meet customer requirements and adhere to applicable industry standards. The engineer will collaborate with other teams including Quality, Manufacturing, product management, and sourcing to ensure that the product meets all designated requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Design and develop new products according to company requirements.
• Create test plans and conduct testing of prototype products.
• Identify potential patents, trademarks opportunities and work with legal team for filings.
• Ensure that the products meet all necessary standards and regulations.
• Ensure robust technical documentation and conformity assessment processes, including technical files, calculations, manuals, and declarations of conformity.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of product development.
• Continuously test and evaluate products to ensure quality and functionality.
• Work with Product management team to identify potential cost optimization opportunities.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in the product development process.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and standards to ensure that the products are competitive.
• Work closely with Product Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable, manufacturable, and customer-focused solutions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has to supervise one designer. Provides technical direction to assigned design/drafting personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, Master’s preferred.
