Job Summary
This position is within the Major Projects
- Engineering organization in Vistra Nuclear.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identifies and performs task as required to meet objectives
- Lead interpretation and analysis of complex issues associated with thermal performance of the Vistra nuclear units
- Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Provides oversight of vendor activities such as tests and walkdowns
- Prepare and present reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
- Participate in and on occasion lead special projects and committees including external organizations
- 4 yrs. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum 6 yrs. relevant job experience (Ideal)
- Nuclear experience preferred
- Experience in thermal performance analysis of steam cycle components and systems preferred
- Team - work and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries
- Able to communicate complex issues effectively through written and verbal communication
- Able to influence by establishing effective working relationships across organizational boundaries
- In-depth understanding of power plant equipment and system interrelationships.
- Working with others, increase electrical output of Vistra nuclear units through thermal performance improvements
- Able to apply systematic problem - solving processes to address complex issues associated with thermal performance
- Final pay grade will be determined based on applicant's experience and qualifications **
