Senior Test Development Engineer
Our client is a leading Scandinavian Electronics Manufacturing Services company known for delivering improved flexibility, cost efficiency and innovation power through the value chain with 10 locations globally. Our client manufactures and delivers anything from fully assembled electronic circuit boards to complete end products for customers.
The Senior Test Development Engineer is in Windber, PA, the company's only US location.
Position Overview:
The Senior Test Development Engineer provides technical services for customers in the areas of electronics serial production tests development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Support group manager and perform management duties when needed
- Consult customers regarding product testability, test related product design practices and production
- Prepare test development proposals
- Design, develop and deploy testing equipment
- Implement changes and modify existing test equipment according to engineering change orders
- Choose and implement technical solutions within delegated project or task
- Authority to release technical project details, timeline, or technical solutions to customer
- Stop product manufacturing if production quality or operator safety is at risk
- Release purchase orders to third part suppliers and contractors
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Knowledgeable and experienced in Electronics Systems Design
- Experience in engineering measurements, electrical preferred
- Software design experience in NI Lab View and NI Test Stand environment
- Principles of Electronics Serial Manufacturing Process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in team leading
- Basic project management knowledge
