Senior Electrical Engineer

Opening with our client for an experienced Electrical Engineer who will function in a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineering role. As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be designing and implementing electrical systems for various projects in the oil and gas, and chemical industries. Seeking a highly skilled professional with a BSEE and 7+ years of extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in compliance with NFPA codes including NEC.

Essential Duties

• Meet customer requirements for various projects in various industries including oil and gas and chemical
• Apply in-depth knowledge of NFPA codes, including NEC, and specific industry standards
• Design grounding, heat trace, lighting, panel layouts, single-line, and three-line diagrams for low-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for electrical system designs.
• Perform detailed calculations and analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of electrical systems.
• Support customer contracts for 24/7 emergency response and preventive maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on designing systems for industrial applications.
• Strong proficiency in NFPA codes, including NEC, and relevant standards for oil and gas, and chemical industries.
• Must be able to design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components or systems
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
