Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Proteor Printing Solutions LLC in Maryland Heights, MO seeks an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design, improve, and support equipment used in commercial printing and finishing operations. In this on-site role, you will develop and refine electro-mechanical systems, support installation and commissioning of presses and bindery lines, and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues. You will create documentation, collaborate with production teams and vendors, and lead reliability and quality improvements.

This position offers hands-on work with diverse print and digital projects in a collaborative, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve electro-mechanical systems for commercial printing equipment
• Support installation, calibration, and testing of presses and finishing machinery
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues on production equipment
• Create and update technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
• Collaborate with production, IT, and vendors to integrate new hardware and controls
• Implement reliability, safety, and quality improvements on the production floor
• Assist in preventive maintenance standards and equipment upgrades
• Support automation, sensors, and motion control solutions to optimize throughput
• Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis initiatives
• Train technicians and operators on new or modified equipment procedures
