Lane Enterprises Inc., a leader in drainage and stormwater management solutions, is seeking a Plastics Manufacturing Engineer to drive process excellence in our plastics product lines. In this on-site role, you will design, optimize, and troubleshoot plastics manufacturing processes for corrugated pipe and related components, focusing on quality, safety, and throughput. Responsibilities include leading process validation, capability studies, and root-cause analysis;
improving tooling, equipment, and workflows; and collaborating with design engineering on manufacturability. You will support capital projects, implement lean and continuous improvement initiatives, train plant personnel, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Design and optimize plastics manufacturing processes for drainage and stormwater products
- Develop and improve tooling, equipment, and workflows to increase quality and throughput
- Lead process validation, capability studies, and root-cause analysis for production issues
- Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability and material selection
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Implement continuous improvement, lean, and safety initiatives on the production floor
- Train operators and technicians on new processes, equipment, and quality standards
- Monitor production metrics and drive corrective actions to meet cost and quality targets
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and plant layout changes
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and company standards
Required Skills
- Plastics manufacturing processes (extrusion, molding, thermoforming)
