Location: Elverson
Constellation Energy seeks an Electrical / I&C Engineer to support design, maintenance, and performance of electrical power and instrumentation & controls systems for energy facilities. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering drawings and calculations, specifying and procuring equipment, supporting plant modifications, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on reliability and efficiency projects, support testing and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives within a highly regulated utilities environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, review, and update electrical and I&C system drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Support plant modifications, upgrades, and new projects to improve reliability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues in operating facilities
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Develop equipment specifications and support procurement and vendor evaluations
- Support testing, commissioning, and startup of electrical and I&C systems
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams on technical solutions
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and change packages
- Participate in risk assessments, reliability studies, and root cause analyses
- Contribute to continuous improvement, sustainability, and innovation initiatives
Required Skills
- Electrical power systems design
- Instrumentation and controls (I&C) engineering
- Control system troubleshooting
- Power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar)
- PLC/DCS systems and logic interpretation
- Reading and developing P&IDs and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and ISA standards
- Testing, commissioning, and startup support
- Technical documentation and reporting
- Project engineering and cross-functional collaboration
