Cargill seeks a skilled Draftsman III to support manufacturing projects in a global food and agriculture leader. In this role, you will prepare detailed 2D/3D mechanical and facility drawings for processing equipment and plant layouts, ensuring accuracy, safety, and sanitary design. Partnering with engineers and project managers, you will interpret specifications, revise drawings, and maintain CAD standards. Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2
- D and 3
- D manufacturing drawings and models for food production equipment and facilities
- Interpret engineering specifications, P&IDs, and layouts to produce accurate, compliant designs
- Update and revise drawings based on engineering feedback, change orders, and site conditions
- Apply industry and company drafting standards, tolerances, and dimensioning practices
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and plant teams to resolve design and constructability issues
- Perform basic design checks, fit-up reviews, and clash identification using CAD tools
- Maintain organized drawing files, document control, and revision history within CAD/PDM systems
- Support equipment layout optimization for safety, sanitary design, and efficient manufacturing flow
- Coordinate with vendors to incorporate equipment drawings and technical data into plant layouts
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes, templates, and standards
