Sr. NPI Manufacturing Engineer

ACS, a division of Amphenol, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobil Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM’s globally. Our global headquarters are located in Wallingford, CT and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally.

Responsibilities
  • Lead DFM assessment and manufacturability analysis for new product development.
  • Support scaled global manufacturing and mass production readiness.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, production lines and automation solutions.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability and cost targets.
  • Support trial production, production ramp and mass production implementation.
  • Drive cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with automation teams and manufacturing plants to implement new equipment and processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong experience supporting global manufacturing operations and high-volume production.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing lines and industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly processes and production equipment. (SMT, Soldering process, Reflow, Pick and place equipment, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with international manufacturing teams.
  • The role requires a willingness to travel often to manufacturing facilities in Mexico or Malaysia, approximately 30% of the time.
