Role Description

Stagehand (full‑time, on‑site, Oakdale, PA)

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting with the set‑up, operation, and tear‑down of lighting, audio, video, and staging equipment for live events and productions. The Stagehand will help load and unload gear, assemble and move stage elements, manage cable runs, and support the technical crew during rehearsals and performances. This role also involves following cue sheets and direction from production leads, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and ensuring equipment is handled and stored properly.

Evening, weekend, and variable hours may be required based on event schedules.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in lighting and stage lighting for live productions.
  • Knowledge of rigging practices and safe handling of staging structures and equipment.
  • Experience supporting live events, including set‑up, changeovers, and strike.
  • Familiarity with music‑oriented productions and coordination with performers and audio teams.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow technical instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills with technical crews and production staff.
  • Previous experience in stagehand, theater tech, or live production roles is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as event needs require.
