Compliance Analyst, Finance & Banking

Preference: on-site in Indiana but open to remote candidates

Piper Maddox is partnered with a leading organization in the renewable natural gas (RNG) sector seeking a Business Compliance Analyst to support regulatory compliance and business analysis activities tied to RNG production, environmental credit generation, and reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of compliance, data, and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with renewable fuel programs and a strong understanding of LCFS, RFS, and CFR.

• Manage regulatory compliance activities across RNG programs, including LCFS, RFS (RINs), and other clean fuel credit programs.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate regulatory filings, reports, and attestations with agencies such as the EPA and ECCC.
• Perform business and financial analysis related to environmental credit programs, including credit forecasting, valuation, and variance analysis.
• Partner closely with finance and commercial teams on credit reconciliation, forecasting, and revenue timing.
• Maintain and analyze large datasets to support compliance accuracy and business decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–5 years of experience in renewable fuels, RNG, environmental compliance, or energy markets.
• Direct experience with LCFS, RFS, and/or Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a deadline-driven regulatory environment.
