Tax Preparer

Location: Paoli

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis during the tax season. This position is based in Paoli, Pennsylvania, and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax filings. If you possess strong tax preparation skills and are proficient in using tax software, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Complete and file 1099 forms in compliance with tax regulations.

- Utilize tax software, including Lacerte Tax, to streamline the preparation process.

- Scan and organize tax documents in a paperless environment to ensure efficient record-keeping.

- Collaborate with team members to address client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Provide assistance during peak times by managing additional workloads effectively.

- Uphold confidentiality and security standards when handling sensitive financial information. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation for individuals and corporations.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software.

- Intermediate skills in Excel and familiarity with Quick Books is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of 1099 forms and their filing requirements.

- Ability to work efficiently in a paperless environment.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
