Senior Fund Accountant, Alternative Investment Funds

Job Description

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is rapidly growing and seeking members for its Alternative Investment Funds accounting team. The role involves providing exceptional accounting and administration services for clients’ hedge and private equity funds, acting as an intermediary between the funds and their investment managers, and serving as the official record keeper for the funds.

• Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources.
• Perform timely reconciliations of Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports.
• Communicate transaction details associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
• Act as record keeper for the fund and coordinate/support various year‑end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
• Perform due‑diligence to ensure clients comply with governmental laws and regulations.
• Correspond with external investment managers regarding day‑to‑day fund inquiries, including fee payments, cash position breaks, and reconciliations.
• Provide a dedication to quality service through client engagement.
• Participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify processes across the division and collaborate with a diverse team for career growth.

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
• One year experience in Financial Services.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Self‑motivation and drive to monitor multiple client deliverables without sacrificing excellence or quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, primarily supporting clients through email and phone calls.
• Strong customer service skills, communicating daily with internal and external clients.
