Job Summary

A growing, specialized construction and transportation company in Berks County is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our finance team. This manages complex payroll processing while supporting broader accounting functions including billing, payables, and receivables. The ideal candidate will ensure financial health through rigorous compliance and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Administration: Execute end-to-end payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and filing of various payroll tax returns; ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management review using proper accounting methods and principles.
  • Audit & Oversight: Coordinate and complete annual audits; initiate corrective actions to improve financial systems and procedures.
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Assist the finance department with essential duties involving billing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in accounting and/or payroll management.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of ERP software and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate within a finance team.
