A bit about us:

Our client, a growing and well‑established manufacturing company, is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting month‑end close activities, financial reporting, cost accounting functions, and overall accounting operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, a solid understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, and the ability to work cross‑functionally with operations and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.

Participate in regular tax audits and payroll.

Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenue.

Enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure they comply with GAAP.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.

Regularly produce and present clear, concise, and timely ad‑hoc reports, as needed.

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

Process AP checks and ACH payments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

In‑depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.

Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.

Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.).

Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (ERP).

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
