Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing various types of bank accounts, generating referrals, processing teller transactions, assisting tellers on sales techniques, and providing excellent customer service.

• Run a teller cash drawer to cover the daily needs of the branch staffing model.
• Exercise authority to sign official checks up to $50,000 and complete teller overrides.
• Accept and process savings, checking, and holiday savings accounts, loan payments, safe deposit box rental payments, tax deposits, and any withdrawals.
• Accept checks for cashing according to FNB check handling procedures.
• Sell money orders, official checks, and collect applicable fees.
• Ensure each teller balances daily, locate differences, and report them to the manager immediately.
• Create a work environment conducive to superior customer service and teamwork.
• Maintain the appearance of the teller area and personnel in accordance with bank policy, including dress code and cell phone usage.
• Handle vault cash under dual control, including vault transactions, cash orders, shipments, audits, and proper strapping and dating of currency denominations from tellers to the Federal Reserve.
• Secure all negotiable instruments, safe deposit box records, and confidential records each day, and assist customers with safe deposit box rentals per the FNB manual.
• Ensure dual control policies are known and followed by all staff where applicable.
• Open and close the branch following proper security procedures.
• Possess strong knowledge of daily branch, vault, and ATM operations.
• Achieve personal daily sales referral goals and coach tellers to meet their goals.
• Coordinate with the branch manager regarding sales and service operations as needed.
• Use effective communication skills to educate staff on policy changes, new procedures, and product knowledge.
• Exercise sound judgment in resolving client and/or employee issues.
• Maintain strong knowledge of bank products and services and recognize cross‑sell opportunities.
• Make outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients.
• Open new accounts, complete account maintenance, cross‑sell products, and discuss available services.
• Prepare new account documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Serve as a notary if properly credentialed.
• Effectively complete all operational duties on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis in accordance with bank policy.
• Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA and Anti‑Money Laundering procedures, and maintain compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance, a requirement of this position.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Minimum of one year of retail banking experience, including cash handling.
• Previous supervisory and sales experience is highly preferred.

• Above average teller skills with the ability to accept and give instructions, reasoning, problem‑solving, and oversight of others.
• Ability to prepare a cash order/manifest.
