Location: Oaks

SEI Private Trust Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of SEI Investments and provider of outsourcing solutions to financial institutions, is expanding its team to support the systems and production requirements for clients. We are actively looking for a qualified individual to join our Fiduciary Trust Administration Team to fill an open position. We are actively seeking a driven and professional Trust Officer who thrives in an independent and client service environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares administrative reviews and assists in the preparation of the investment review when required
  • Participates in fiduciary administrative committee
  • Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of various trust types, income and principal accounting, trust income taxation, GST, trust investments, retirement plans and charitable trusts
  • Administers a varied number of existing and new personal trust accounts
  • Interprets the governing instrument and applicable state law to ensure trusts are administered according to the terms of the governing instrument
  • Cultivates and maintains ongoing relations with beneficiaries, investment advisors, attorneys, accountants and co-fiduciaries
  • Communicates the terms of the trust provisions to relevant parties
  • Responds to trust client issues, anticipating client needs and preparing for and participating in client meetings
  • Prepares and presents discretionary distribution requests and makes recommendations to fiduciary committee
  • Works with the tax accountants to prepare and file fiduciary tax returns
  • Responsible for receipts and disbursements for their book of accounts
  • Monitor administrative policies and procedures
  • Review and analyze reports, statements, policies, and procedures
  • Act as a liaison between vendors, clients, and/or other market units
  • Support client and team needs
  • Perform effectively in a team environment
  • Train and mentor other team members when required
  • Become proficient in business application tools
  • Support business initiatives, including business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Function as an individual contributor, make independent decisions
  • Obtain professional certifications where required
  • Assist Independent Advisor Solution with sales leads or personal trust presentations
  • Acquire system and technical knowledge required to resolve more complex tasks
  • Perform all jobs in the business unit, assume responsibilities or related projects
  • Maintain current procedures and improve process
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and work experience required
  • Minimum five years of experience in the trust industry
  • CTFA preferred but not required
  • Solid understanding of related legal, tax and accounting concepts required
  • High degree of objectivity and professionalism in management of fiduciary obligations
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills essential
  • Access to confidential and sensitive information routine; high integrity
  • Organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to work effectively independently and in a team in an open-floor environment
