Plant Controller

A client of ours is looking for a Plant Controller to join their team for a contract role. As the Plant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a manufacturing plant. You will play a critical role in managing the plant's financial performance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Your expertise in financial planning and analysis, cost control, and ERP systems will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities of Plant Controller

+ Oversee the financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

+ Manage the plant's Profit & Loss (P& L) statements, ensuring accuracy and providing detailed analysis to support business decisions.

+ Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

+ Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.

+ Collaborate with plant management to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

+ Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

+ Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

+ Utilize ERP systems, such as JD Edwards, to manage financial data and streamline processes.

+ Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Assistant Controller

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within the manufacturing industry.

+ Proven experience with P& L management.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

+

Experience with larger ERP solutions, such as JD Edwards.

+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

+ CPA or CMA certification preferred.

+ Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial software preferred.

+ Experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing principles desired.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
