Senior Private Wealth Advisor – Practice Lead (Personal Strategy)

Location:

Philadelphia, PA (in-person client meetings required). The role focuses on helping high‑net‑worth client households achieve long‑term financial success through a highly personal and strategic approach.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead advisor within a dedicated client team (Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist) to build and maintain lasting relationships with a book of high net‑worth clients.
  • Provide first‑in‑class client experience, including onboarding, financial planning, investor education and portfolio, market, and economic discussions.
  • Collaborate with advisory team resources to grow and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive relationship management via phone, email, and virtual meetings; balance proactive and reactive engagement.
  • Retain assets under management and acquire additional assets through diligent communication, proactive education, and responsive service.
  • Act as liaison between clients and internal groups/departments within Empower Personal Wealth.
  • Explain the “Personal Strategy” investment strategy, recommend, implement, and review investment strategies aligned with clients’ risk tolerance and objectives.
  • Provide holistic financial planning on retirement, income optimization, tax‑advantaged savings, education planning, and other relevant topics.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning Specialists on complex issues or comprehensive financial plans.
  • Coordinate with advisory team and EPW stakeholders for client‑related requests and delegate, coach, train, and develop colleagues when appropriate.
  • Travel to meet with clients face‑to‑face and build strong relationships.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years related work experience in financial services and client experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth‑management strategies, financial planning, tax and income optimization, and estate planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; detail oriented; capable of managing many time‑sensitive tasks simultaneously.
  • Pro‑active self‑starter with strong situational awareness, contextual thinking, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional at delivering effective client consultations – composed, professional, and skilled at establishing trust and long‑term relationships.
  • Proficiency (or quick learning ability) with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, NetX
    360, and other proprietary systems.
  • Demonstrated success with high‑net‑worth clients, complicated planning, NPS, and client retention.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series
    65 required.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.
  • CFP strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $114,000–$165,300 (Philadelphia).
  • Competitive bonus opportunity in addition to base salary (non‑sales positions; sales positions may qualify for incentives).
