Villanova University seeks faculty who are motivated by the pursuit of top-quality research but also committed to excellence in the classroom. Our faculty have published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and other leading journals. All are committed to excellence in teaching. Excellent data resources are provided (significant portion through WRDS): CRSP/Compustat (Merged), CRSP Mutual Fund, CRSP Ziman REIT, Refinitiv 13F-Filings, Dealscan, IBES, TAQ (Data and Volume Summary), ISS/Risk Metrics, Execucomp, Mergent FISD, TRACE, Worldscope, Preqin Hedge Fund, S&P Global Capital IQ and CIQ Pro platforms with additional access to Compustat Bank Data, NCREIF, Morningstar Direct, LSEG Workspace with feeds for Datastream and SDC, Pitchbook as well as others.
Professional data feeds include Bloomberg Terminals (36), and Fact Set (unlimited). The Villanova School of Business (VSB) was ranked the #1 undergraduate business school in the nation by Bloomberg Business Week. VSB offers both undergraduate and graduate programs (including MBA, Executive MBA, and MS in Finance) to over 2,500 business students. The department is also home to the Daniel M.
DiLella Center for Real Estate.
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor. We welcome expertise from all areas of finance. This faculty member will teach classes at the undergraduate level and graduate level. The faculty member is expected to publish high quality research. This person will report to the Chair of the Finance and Real Estate Department and will begin in Fall 2027.
